The Dark Knight
The Caped Crusader. Batman.
Sadly, my pictures didnt turn out that well - the bright lights I use totally washed out the dark greys I used to highlight Bruce Wayne. Oh well - this one looks spectacular in person. You will have to come to my house to see it!

Heroes In A Half Shell
I was onboard with the TMNT long before they became a 'kiddie movie'. I loved the comics back in the late 80s, when it was mostly black and white, they killed, and they all wore red bandanas (before they had to dumb it down with the different colors for the kids). These were challenging models - difficult colors for me, and lots and lots of detail on each figure.

More supes
Ive been on a bit of a hiatus recently. Real life has jumped in a bit and killed some of my painting time.
Back on the horse now - got some supers finished, plus have some more stuff on the way....some tiny tigers, some nazis, more western, and more ACW.
But for now
Supernova (powers obviously include super speed)
and Yellowjacket (Homage to my high school mascot!)

Ninjas! and combatting lead rot
Completed ninjas from Crossover Miniatures. I painted these up as minions for The Blue Viper ( a super villain figure I completed a while back ). There are a total of 12 of them.

On an unrelated note, I picked up a box of Elfquest miniatures this week off of ebay. (Ever read Elfquest? It was one of my favorite comics as a kid - really great stuff, and now its available for free if you are interested Elfquest Online Comics). Anyway, much to my horror, I cracked the box open, and all of the minis are starting to exhibit the signs of lead rot (which I had never heard of before)
Here is one of the figures. You can see the 'rot' starting to begin - an outer crusty surface that is sitting right on top of the nice shiny figure.
Im giving them a baking soda bath, and im going to scrub them down with a wire brush. Seems to be working ok with the first one I tried...still needs some more work though.

Sasquatch and some BMPs
Finished up some things and started some more over the weekend. It seems (and Im happy about this!) that Ive always got two or three things going on at one time these days.
First up, Sasquatch from Reaper Miniatures. This could be a 'squatch' like that 'Squatchin guy', or, my intent, was the big comic book character from Alpha Flight.
Also, I completed 5 Iraqi BMP-1s (1/285th) from GHQ
And a size comparison for my less 'in the know' buddies

Currently on my painting desk are some scouts and scavengers from Copplestone Castings, a referee from Dreadball, and 3 T72 20mm tanks from Hobby Den.

More excitement!
Wow, its been a crazy couple of days for my miniatures!
I just found out that I won 3rd place for my entry in the Paint The City Pink contest over on Hendybadgers blog. Special thanks to Ian (Hendybadger!) for running this contest for a great cause. I hope he makes a ton of money for breast cancer research!!!
