My wife got me the 'limited edition' Lego TIE Figther for my birthday. We have been slowly putting it together 30 minutes or an hour at a time on the weekends since then. We finished it up on Saturday morning....its a beast! (Look at the size of the minifigure for scale!)
And my Lego 'collection'
The TIE Pilot gets the 'little man' treatment!
Finally - my current WIP. Napoleonic era 'Black Watch' in 15mm.

Another Cro-Magnon and some exciting news!
Another cro-magnon man. Two more in the pipeline, almost done now.
I tried something new on this one - a little 'puddle' from water effects
I drove up to Historicon on Saturday, mostly for the vendors, but also to take a shot at entering a couple figures into the painting contest. I entered the very first cro-magnon man I did from a month or two ago (I think he is the best figure I have painted to date) and also, the frost dragon hatchling from Reaper.
Well, my little man didnt win anything, which was a bit disappointing. However, as a surprise, Reaper jumped in at the last moment, and sponsored a 'best of Reaper' contest (my dragon is a Reaper figure) and he won! When I picked my figures up after the contest, one of the judges said 'hey, Reaper picked you as their best figure. You might get a certificate or something'. That was a little bit of a bummer too - I figured I would never hear another word. But, by the time I had gotten home, I had an email from Reaper in my inbox with a $50 Reaper Gift Certificate and a quick note about the contest! Very cool, and very exciting for me!!!!!
Here are a couple pics of my two figures on display:
Finally, a couple pics of some spectacular SS figures at one of the games I looked at. I subsequently bought said nazis, and I will attempt to paint them up one of these days

Deathstroke
Decided to give this 'anti hero' a bit of a different uni. Normally seen as blue and orange, I thought purple and yellow was a bit of a change
