Spec forces guys from Liberation. Maybe one day, they will be used as the Mako 30 group from the first Takur Ghar scenario from Force on Force.

A zombie from Studio Miniatures (I think). Dammit, I just cant get good pictures!!! The gore came out really well on this guy - not too much, and not too little!
And for Corey - a mystery figure completed. What could it be??? Watch the mail, my friend.

First terrain board
Ive gotten into the Force on Force rules, and it has spurred me on to attempting my first terrain board. My wife is gonna kill me when she finds it :) but right now, its hidden.
This will be for the scenario in the OEF book 'Battle of Takur Ghar' (or sometimes known as Battle of Roberts Ridge). This is the "left" side of the board. I have a "right" side built as well.

Some more Terry Taliban and a Spec Forces guy.
Its too bad that I cant take pictures with my camera worth a crap. A few of these figures turned out really, really well, but the camera doesnt show that. The pictures make them look like they have the 'scared deer in the headlights look', but looking at the figs with the naked eye doesnt show that. Oh well.
Ive also NAILED a good version of ACU camo, but again, the pics dont do it justice.

Finished a Taliban Machine Gun team, and one Spec Forces guy in ACU
A guy over on The Guild website from "down under" sent me this machine gun team because he knew I had been working on Taliban stuff, and it had to move to the top of my 'to do' list. Thanks much wargameroz!
I also finished my first attempt at ACU. This is a spec forces guy from Liberation Miniatures. The pictures looked much better at home than they do here at work....I hope they arent too dark. I think it turned out pretty well.

July 2011 Totals
July was pretty slow as far as models go. My cat died over one weekend which kinda put a bummer on stuff and slowed me down, and my wife and I went to two different weddings over two different weekends. Ive also been trying to get back on track as far as exercising and getting a decent amount of sleep (my doctor said Im sleep deprived). Anyway, all of that takes away from painting time!
That being said, I still got a small unit of Taliban completed (I guess thats gonna be a monthly thing :) ), a small test batch of some WW2 Fallschirmjager, and several 20mm vehicles.
I made three small internet purchases in July
~50 dollars on British and Afghan soldiers (mostly Brits) (Britannia Miniatures)
~50 dollars on a platoon of 2009 Marines (Elhiem Miniatures)
~20 dollars on several miscellaneous figures - a wmik, a couple taliban leadership, some Brit soldiers (Liberation Miniatures)
12 Taliban (Liberation Miniatures)
4 Fallschirmjager (Platoon Miniatures)
1/72 Armor completed: 5
1 Bradley (Trumpeter)
2 Cougar MRAPs (S and S Models)
2 Technicals (S and S Models)
In progress, July/August, 2011:
20mm Infantry in progress: 14
12 Taliban (Liberation and Britannia Miniatures)
2 Special Forces (Liberation Miniatures)
Another unit of grenade chucking, goat fucking Taliban are on my table and ready to go. Im also almost finished with a Terry Taliban dshk heavy machine gunner and loader. Finally, im sort of trying out a couple different recipes for a decent ACU pattern, and Im working on a couple spec forces guys that I had sitting around from Liberation. One of them is nearly finished, and Im pretty happy with the way he has turned out. Probably post him up tomorrow...
The Britannia Brits arrived last week. I really want to start working on the US Marines I bought from Elhiem, but they havent come in yet. Hoping to finish off the small unit of Taliban im in the middle of now, and then hammer out the Marines if they get in soon - all in August.
