Just finished these up.  I probably took some liberty in adding in the jihadist flag, but whatevs right?

Finished 2 Cougar MRAPs from S and S Models.  I went pretty light on the weathering - these things always look clean in the pictures you see of them!  (Unless they have rolled over a mine....)

More uplifting topic! WIP on some vehicles

Working on several vehicles right now - a couple of Cougar MRAPs, a couple techincals, and another Bradley.  I took a few quick shots from my phone this morning.

The Cougar (4 wheel) on the left has been weathered and drybrushed.  The one of the right has just had some heavy weathering.  I still need to paint details like windows, stowage, tires - maybe tonight?

A couple techincals - the first one has been preshaded, and it will be painted white.  The second (cant see well im afraid) will be red.  Ive loved the crazy pics coming out of Libya of pickups loaded up with all kinds of weapons - missle launchers, AA guns, etc.

20mm Fallschirmjager

I think these were from Platoon Miniatures??  Oh well - whatever.  As usual, the photos dont do them justice - they look much better to the naked eye.  Still happy with them though.

This was kind of a "test batch" - havent done any 20mm WW2 stuff yet, and typically, paratroopers are my favorite thing to paint from the period.

June 2011 Totals

Looks like my monthly work is down just a bit this month.  Huh - I "lost" one week to going away on vacation, worked on the gladiator arena which I guess I will count later on, and worked on the Revell Apache which turned out to be slightly more difficult then I assumed it would be.  I finished a small unit of 20mm Taliban, and 1 28mm Bloodbowl type figure.

I made three small internet purchases in June
~50 dollars on 20mm zombies and zombie hunters from Syr Hobbs Wargames (Elhiem Miniatures)
~30 dollars on some more Taliban and Al Qaeda figures from Liberation
20 dollars on a Predator figure from Heresy Miniatures

Ive got 4 Fallschirmjager that are totally complete with the exception of putting down some vegetation on their bases.  I just couldnt get to it last night....too bad - they will most likely be completed tonight, or tomorrow at latest.  Ive also got 12 Taliban primed and the skin painted on.  Probably wont take long to finish them off either, once I get going on them.

I didnt get to the 28mm Macedonians like I wanted to.  However, they are still 'on my list', as well as the new Predator figure from Heresy Miniatures (which I really, really like by the way - the figures are really nice).
