Trying my hand at a Flames of War Panzer - these are on the same scale as a 15mm soldier. The tank is pretty cool, but I didnt do much with it. Hard to tell from the pic, but the treads and tops of wheels are painted a darker grey, and thats about it. Im gonna dirty it up, and put it on a base, but I dont know what else to paint on the tank. Its grey.

Kuznetsov model ready, next building water
So, the model itself is finished. The next step is painting up a board (and modelling realistic waves) to finish this bad boy up. This will probably be the last ship I build...much tougher than it looks!

US Rangers storm a building
Just a little more painting, and a little sand, flock and tree stuff, and Ill be done.
The building doesnt look quite to scale, and I think there is gonna be a little too much room on the ground in front of the door way, but overall, Im pretty excited about how this is gonna turn out. Its my first real 'diorama'...not much to it, but it just proved to me what I can do.

Night two of ST Online
So, night two of ST Online for me. This time, things were MUCH better than the first night. Still a little laggy, still a little downtime, but otherwise, it worked a lot better.
I created a new character. A Tactical Officer named Lek Okeje that I created. Here is a pic of him with his away team. And also a pic of the new starship, USS Miami, NCC 92741
And my last pic - The Miami took a helluva beating against 6 Klingon BOPs but came out on top. I was maybe two good torp hits from being done.
And finally, a picture of Captain Okeje on the bridge of the Miami.
If I get a chance tonight, Im going to play some more. I think Im gonna restart with an engineer again, or maybe a science officer. Im already leaning toward going with an engineer.

Ah Kirk. Do you know the Klingon proverb...
Finally. Open Beta for Star Trek Online. I got to play a little bit last night, until about 25 million people got on and you couldnt do anything. But anyway, here are some pics...oh yeah, I couldnt figure out how to screen print, so these are from the camera
To Boldly Go
My first character, Leonid Vashnikov, a Russian engineer
My first ship - the USS Thomas Sumter, NCC 91984
The slightly modified Miranda class Thomas Sumter on the move. What this picture doesnt show is that the Sumter is being chased by 3 Orion pirate heavy battlecruisers. This had something to do with the 'grouping' where the system thought there were 4 other starships in my group, when really it was just me. Ouch. I ended up escaping. Not so lucky on some other occassions.
These are my bridge officers. I dont know much about how they work yet, other than my doctor, Chan, seems to be really good and saved my neck a couple times on the only away team mission I tried last night.
This is a picture of the 'sector' screen. Its how you warp from one system to another. This was REALLY laggy by the time I took this picture. You could fly from one system to another, but you couldnt actually enter any of them.
And finally, my favorite picture of all of them. We are one big happy fleet!

A few random things
Working on a couple different things:
First of all, 4 US Rangers from the 1990s from The Assault Group. This is an example of one...beginning of the desert camo.

Next, I got a Flames Of War Panzer. This is cool - never had anything like this. Its about 3 inches or so long. So is the tank.
Finally, Melissa is gonna take her first shot at painting minis. This is the one she picked out.
