Quickie Nobbla Blackwart

I needed a quick fill in player for a goblin with a chainsaw for my Blood Bowl game today (im a huge underdog  - Im taking the chainsaw, as well as another star player choice (Brick and Grotty I think)

Voila - star player Nobbla Blackwart

Not my best paint job, but not terrible either!  However, I finished him in about 2.5 hours start to finish, so that is HUGE  for me.

Im not willing to say this was a labor of love...more like just a labor.  I finished up 13 extra players/coaches/staff last night, rounding out the rest of the Ogrelando Predators.

All of the ogres complete!

This has been a labor of love to say the least.  I first put up a post about these ogres on May 21st, and they have been sitting on my desk ever since.  Still have Coach Bo Shemborkler, the Doc, and the snotlings to paint up, but finally, these massive beasts are complete.  Each is a little over 40mm tall, so its gonna look really funny when I finally get around to the snots.

I present the ogres of THE OGRELANDO PREDATORS!

A few "before pics" - as I mentioned in one of my earlier posts here, each of the ogres had to have substantial work to piece them together correctly, and each has had either conversion work, or putty added (to make them look like scales).

Next up on my paint desk - gotta get away a bit from the super heroes and the fantasy stuff for a while, so some 10mm numidians from Pendraken are primed and ready to go.  Im also looking to paint up some modern 28mm US Marines that I got from Eureka that look totally incredible.  And, the snotlings are still looking up at me....

More Bloodbowl Ogres

These bad boys take time, but so far, im happy with the results...

#3 Sultan Aladeen, player and owner of the Ogrelando Predators!  Although there have been many instances of player owners in Bloodbowl history, Aladeen becomes the first from Araby.  Not much is known of this reclusive ogre - he just rode in out of the desert and started buying up players!  (Thanks, Corey, for the flag!)  This is a slightly converted ogre from Games Workshop.

Next up, #6, Steve N Thorg, little known brother of Bloodbowl star player Morg N Thorg....well, brothers from another mother anyway!  This figure is another ogre from Heresy miniatures, and of the seven ogres I have for the team, this was the best sculpt/positioning for a Bloodbowl player

So, I still have 4 more ogres to go - I think Im looking at AT LEAST a couple more weeks to get them finished.  Im also painting a unit of african militia when I cant stand to look at ogres any more!
