I just finished up a squad of modern US Marines from Peter Pig (Im totally in love with the Peter Pig figures...I have a unit of ACW soldiers Im working on now). Ive had about 60 of these guys primed and ready to go for a while, but I could never get motivated to work on them. So, I cut 60 down to 9 (Ill probably get to the others someday - you know how that is), just so I could get them done. I hope Ive done them justice to any members of our military that come across this site.

The Man Room
Just finished up moving 'The Man Room' this weekend. I had been in a tiny little room over the garage, and over Christmas, I moved into a still tiny, but larger room. Its pretty sad really, but my wife and I probably spend 70% of our time in this room, 10% in bed, 10% in the kitchen, and the other 10% in the rest of the house!
Here is 'the back' of the room - you can see some new figure cases (CD cases from target) hanging on the left.
Another 'back of the room' shot - a couple shelves, and a window.
This is what I see sitting from my chair. (TV and homage to Dan Marino and the Dolphins)
My painting space...just a small laptop table. Works perfectly for the space I have.

Old West Outlaws
These outlaws are from Black Scorpion miniatures and were a Christmas gift from my wife. Very cool miniatures!
Perry Miniatures Samurai
These figures are great, but TOUGH to paint. They are, by far, the hardest miniatures I have painted so far. Ill probably revisit these guys at some point - I bet a unit of these would look really cool.

Down the comics path
By buddy (thanks Corey) has been taunting with comics for a long time now. For what its worth, I guess I sort of taunted him into it a while ago first :)
To continue my path to dorkdom, Ive started getting a few series again. My first shipment in a while has the following in it - looking forward to reading them:
The Boys - 48 and 49. Ive actually been collecting these since they came out. Its a hardcore, violent, sex filled mature comic about a group who keeps tabs on the 'supes'
Haunt 11 and 12
And, the one Im most intrigued by - Iron Siege - a WW2 zombie comic

December 2010, and 2010 Yearly Totals!
Holy crap - I just read Scott MacPhee's blog (from MacPhee's Miniature Men blog) and looked at his totals for 2010 - pretty intimidating! Something like 850 28mm infantry and 650 15mm infantry alone. I dont even have 10 percent of that! In fairness, I didnt paint a lot in the way of 'uniform' soldiers - most were different in one way or the other, and I bounce around from type to type.
Oh well - I did complete a lot for me, and I feel like I get better every time I paint a new figure. I hope to up my totals in 2011.
Completed, for December, 2010:28mm infantry completed: 3
1 Dark Elf Assassin (Reaper)
1 Barbarian (Reaper)
1 Paladin (Reaper)
15mm infantry completed: 5
3 Zombie Hunters (Rebel Miniatures)
2 Special Agents (Rebel Miniatures)
In progress, December, 2010/January, 2011:

9 Modern US Marines (Peter Pig) DAMMIT!

3 Mounted Samurai (Perry Miniatures)
