More Historicon

Finally, some more Historicon pics
This was all one big "Western" game board
Hannibal
Injuns - I got some of these

Galactica and some Vipers.  I bought Galactica, and 3 Vipers, and 1 Raptor.

World War 1 flying game.  Not really my thing, but I thought the setup was pretty cool
Dealer Hall - this place was huge - there must have been 100 vendors in here.  I probably spent some money at 50% of em.  Bastards.
WAR TURTLE!

Recon Marines.  Yeah, I got these too.
More Zombies.  I read about this game yesterday - this was supposed to be the Battle For Yonkers from World War Z
A couple award candidates.  I havent seen results of this yet, but I liked these

A Battlestar Galactica game in progress.  This game was the initial Cylon assault on the colonies.  A Battlestar is at the top of the picture, as are two in the stardock.  The Base Star destroyed the two Battlestars in the base before they could even get out with nukes.
Little ships.  Oh yeah.  Got some of these too.

Some Flames of War stuff.  Some really cool conversions and scenery here.

A couple more

And these were the best FOW stuff I saw while I was there.  These are all converted tank riders, with a nice little display base.  Notice the 'old looking' black and white book at the top?  The guy (or gal) had taken pictures of his tanks and soldiers in black and white, and they looked REAL.

And last, but certainly not least, it wouldnt be a good 'little man' post without some nerds?  Who knew Opie Taylor was a gamer????  I didnt!  Not only was he a gamer...he was a ANGRY gamer.  Here, he is displaying a temper tantrum as only Opie can.
Dont you wish your boyfriend was hot like me?

Historicon 2010, and a lot of money spent

I took a few pics from my phone, but then realized that my service was so crappy from King of Prussia, that it would take days to upload these.  So, anyway, here are 4, got some more coming when I upload the pics from my camera.

Zombies!  This was probably my favorite game that I saw.  It was a massive horde of zombies (down at the bottom of the pic) - there must have been 1000 - vs a small group of soldiers and police middle to top (you can see a couple Abrams and Bradleys scattered in there if you look closely).  By the time this was over, the zombies had pushed the people right off the board.

Huge castle siege

One corner of the nerd convention.  This is 1/4 of the main game hall.  This room was huge.  On top of that, there was a bottom floor that was half this size, and another hotel had more games...I never made it over there.

Some random Civil War game...corn fields near the top, some cool walls to the left and right.

Finally, for my 2010 totals, I took out $500 to spend on little men. I have very little left.  Lets just call it $500 spent.  But, that should keep me busy for a while.

Some of the things I bought
A platoon of 15mm modern US Marines
A large group of Insurgents
WW1 A-Rabs on camels
28mm modern US Marines
28mm Am. Indians
About 50 (no joke) 1/600 airplanes
About 50 1/285 pieces of armor

...and thats probably just the tip of the iceberg.
